    Re: English Essay Box!

"OUR PARENT ARE THE BEST TEACHER" do you agree or disagree :

From our childhood, we meet with lots of people who teach us a variety of DIFFERENT TYPES OF knowledge about distinct aspects of real life. This group of people includes our parents, friends, relatives, school teachers, and even anyone whom we interact WITH during a particular time period IN our lifetime. By taking into account all THE benefits provided by those people, I strongly support the argument that parents are the best teachers. They are the closest to us, and are willing to sacrifice what they have without expecting any compensation. Also no matter how old we are, they have always valuable experiences to share with us . In this essay, I will try to figure out my reasons with regard to why I think parents are the best teacher
No doubt, our parents are the closest to us especially at younger ages. It can be said as children grow, the interaction with parents becomeS less obvious and effective. However, since we are a baby, parents develop a huge understanding about our personality, things we like or dislike, our tendency toward specific subjects an so on. They can easily understand what we exactly mean from the expression that appears on our face.
Because of the deep understanding of our personality, parents can easily guide us regarding the future job we will have. This means by teaching or showing different alternatives our parents will be a determinig factor for the rest of our life. Which particular people can replace this responsibility of parents? According to me noone since there are no other people except parents who know us even better than WE DO.

What is more, the relationSHIP between children and parents dependS on love and intimacy which means parents sacrifice themselves for their children without expecting any compensation. Because of the nature of this relationSHIP, they teach us what the best is and what we need througHOUT life in order to be successful. They teach us how to be strong under difficult distinguish bad and good things, and so on. Since they love us, they will not teach us bad things
Finally, as the new generations choose to marry at older ages, the difference in age between parents and children gets bigger. This means parents have more real life experience that they pass down to their children. Parents mention about the mistakes that they made when they are one step ahead OF our parents. For instance, my mother always adviseS me not to tell lies to other people as well as the bad consequenCE of using drugs since she got firsthand experience of those situations when one of her close friends died because of AN overdose.

To sum up, lots of people will have different opinions regarding who the best teacher of our life IS depending on their personality, past experiences, past education, and so on. If it comes to me, I AM strongly in favor of the idea that parents are the best teacherS who shape our life in a positive way because of the sevEral reasons that were cited through the essay. If I am successful and happy now, this is a result of what my parents tAught me via their experiences, love, intimacy, closeness to my personality, and so on

    Re: English Essay Box!

Throughout our different stages of life, we usually learn many things from books and people around us. However, when comparing which source is the most important, I always believe that “experience is the best teacher.”

Firstly, regardless of how well you are trained at a school or university, without experience, you are more likely to make more serious mistakes and be less efficient than an average educated worker who possesses a lot of experience. For example, an inexperienced medical student, who may have read many medical books but has never had a chance to perform any operation, would never be able to work as well as a surgeon, who has reinforced his experience through countless of extensive operations. For another example, a non-native speaker of English may spend all the time on grammar books and try to learn numerous words of vocabulary. However, his English will not be improved as quickly as the one who frequently uses English in everyday life to communicate with others, especially native speakers. That is what people call “Practice makes perfect.” In addition, not all successful people in the world complete their education. Bill Gates, the giant of Microsoft, or Steve Jobs, the leader of Apple have never graduated from their universities. Nevertheless, they are now world billionaires. One of the most important factors that lead to their success is the experience they have gained from their life

Secondly, we can learn science, technology, mathematics and other academic subjects from books but there are many things we cannot learn from books but from our experience. In the daily life, children learn to communicate with others, how to make friends with their neighbors, and thus they can learn how to stay away from dangers after being hurt once. That is how experience works on children. Furthermore, students in colleges and universities need experience for their lives and careers in the future. Students’ ability to get along with their classmates and workmates in a group is an important skill for many jobs. There are also many requirements such as how to deal with real-life situations, how to make a decision for ourselves, or even what we have to do when we fail to achieve our goals. How can the book “How to win friends and influence people” of Dale Carnegie help us if we just read it and not to practice to gain experience?

The third factor that makes me believe “experience is the best teacher” is that it helps us be more convincing. In a debate or an argumentative essay, you can give many arguments to protect your point, but only with examples taken from your experience can you make yourself understood thoroughly and reasonable.

In short, roles of books cannot be denied, but there is a limit to what they can teach us. They have so much valuable information and knowledge, but what we learn from our experience are the most important. Or we can say experience is the best teacher.

Are you looking for information about the importance of physical education in schools and why it should be maintained and emphasized? Do you want a healthy active lifestyle
for your kids? Then this article can help you convince your kids that exercising
and participation especially in school PE classes is important.
Physical education plays a vital role in the students’ development and growth. According to recent medical studies, physical well being of a student is directly related to his or her performance whether in class or in the office. The article will give you reasons to agree.
    1. It’s a link to good health.
The value of physical fitness can never be overstated. It’s only in physical educational classrooms that students learn the value of taking care of themselves thru proper grooming, healthy eating and regular exercise.
    2. It’s a preventive measure against disease.
Many doctors today agree that obesity is a serious health risk. Without any form of diet management and control with the numerous processed food students intake everyday compounded by a sedentary lifestyle, a student’s health can easily be at risk to many diseases like chronic heart disease, hypertension and diabetes. Physical education in school is a preventive measure to teach students the value of regular exercise.
    3. It’s a program for muscle strength and fitness.
Physical education develops the students’ motor skills and hand-eye coordination. It also develops the upper body muscles through activities like doing push ups as well the lower body muscles through stationary jumping jacks, 3min running and jumping exercises. Programs usually have core training exercises also like doing abdominal crunches.
    4. It promotes academic learning.
Physical health allows students to function even better in classrooms. A good cardiovascular system developed from regular exercise promotes excellent blood and oxygen circulation. This means more nutrients circulate through out the body which includes the brain. This circulation produces longer attention span during classes allowing longer concentration and absorption.
    5. It builds self esteem.
Students who are active in physical activities like basketball, volleyball, martial arts and running just to name a few are more confident with themselves according to most social school studies. It’s probably because of the self discipline and dedication to excel in a sport that brings out the best in students. In school, the physical education program introduces these sport activities to students allowing them to make choices to which sport areas they want to get involved in.
    6. It develops cooperation, teamwork and sportsmanship skill.
Most physical education programs are holistic. The program allows student to interact together to a common goal and that is to win and excel physically. It brings out the competitive sides of students working both body and mind but also promotes sportsmanship.
    7. It promotes a physically active lifestyle.
The purpose of physical education is to instill in students, at an early age, the value of self preservation and choosing a lifestyle that is good for both the mind and body.

    Re: English Essay Box!

The value of physical education has been realized since the earliest times of human existence. The Greeks and the Romans considered it indispensable to the development of a good personality and character.

Today in all the schools and universities in the world, a great deal emphasis is being placed on physical education as a means of producing citizens of good character and personality.

Physical education develops the muscles of the body scientifically and increases muscular activity and physical strength. All this makes the body active and efficient. It is now also realized that there is a close connection between the body and the mind. Therefore, if the body is active, the mind too is active. Proof of this can be easily found among children. Children who are inactive physically are usually also mentally lazy. An active and efficient body is a healthy body. When the body is healthy, the mind too is and therefore happy. Thus, physical education contributes greatly to the health and happiness of an individual such an individual could do a great deal for the good of society.

Physical education can also contribute to the strength of a nation. If the youths of a country receive proper physical education, they can build up a strong country to protect itself from foreign attacks or invasions.

Further, physical education provides opportunities for contacts with people of other lands. Athletes of all countries meet at various countries at various times to compete with one another and thus promote common understanding among countries for the benefit of one another.

It is therefore, not without reason that physical education has been a part and parcel of academic pursuit today. I do therefore agree that physical education is important to all people.

    Re: English Essay Box!

I think that the question whether money is a main indicator of people's success is a controversial one. Some people believe that only one who earns a lot of money is successful. However, other people think one who does not earn a lot of money can be successful too. For several reasons, which I will list bellow, I agree with those people who think that money is an indicator of success.

First of all, if a person earns a lot of money it means he or she has unique knowledge and experience and people want to pay for these. For example, a good lawyer is often paid a very high salary, because he or she has won many cases and people are ready to pay big money for his knowledge.
A second example is that a salary of a surgeon simpliciter depends on his experience and knowledge and on how many surgeries he has completed successfully. In this case surgeon's salary simpliciter depends on surgeon's success.

Second of all, a high salary is in an indicator of a prosperous career and profession. People change their jobs, move from one place to another looking for a more interesting and better paid job. Of cause, some people do not care about salary as long as they like their job, but from my everyday experience and observation I can state that the majority of people who are not satisfied with their revenue would exchange their current job for another one with higher salary.

Finally, money plays, may be unfortunately, a very essential role in our modern life. So, people who earn a lot of money by working hard are considered to be successful.

May be it sounds a little mercenary but I think that success must be encouraged financially otherwise it is not a success.

    Re: English Essay Box!

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Parents are the best teachers. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Obviously, the first teachers we have in our lives in most cases are our parents. They teach us to speak, walk, ride a bike, behave ourselves etc. From my everyday experience and observation I can totally agree with the statement that parents are the best teachers. In the following paragraphs I will try to support my answer with some reasons and examples.

First of all, I would say that parents are our very first teachers. They with great patience pass down the essential knowledge that we need in order to join "the real world". Children often copy their parents' habits and traits because children are sure that parents do only right things. Often children's first wish is to be like their mother of father. Parents are the best teachers because they wish their children a success and they do not teach them bad things.

However in order to succeed in today’s world children need more than just to know good manners and be able to read and write. They need real teachers who would teach them logic, mathematics, literature, foreign language, management etc. Moreover, they need to communicate with the children of the same age. Adolescence is a period when children learn more from their friends then from their parents. At this age many young people reject their parents' advices and warnings. They begin to learn from their own experience, make conclusions and analyze their first mistakes. It is very important for parents in this period to be supportive and patient. Children may slam door and refuse to do some things because they want to feel independence.

Another important aspect of this is that parents are the first people who must worn their children about the danger of drugs and cigarettes and how to avoid and say "No" when they need to. In the modern world parents must talk with their children about everything because it can save their life and make them happier. So, the role of parents is really important because it gives the strength and understanding the real world.

In conclusion, I think that parents are the best teachers because they give their knowledge that can not be taken from books when it needs to be known by children.

How about an essay question without a response essay? Just to have a discussion.
Thomas Jefferson used to state: "Do you want to know who you are? Don't ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you." Some people think they need to get feedbacks from others in order to define them. But some others agree with Thomas Jefferson that action will define a person. What is your view of point here? Explain why, with specific reasons and examples.
